Fairy-tale vintage dinner location in Ljubljana: Svicarija
22 September 2017 Incentive travel

Different and unique venues are on the rise and we love to use them for our incentive programmes. One venue, that really blew our mind away and only recently came to life, is Svicerija (Swiss house). Located at park Tivoli, surrounded by trees and Roznik hill but only a glimpse away from Ljubljana centre, Svicarija is a truly unique venue, that brings a touch of nature to the city centre.

Story behind the venue

The Svicarija Creative Centre is a former wooden guest house, that was opened in 1835 and already in 1909 renovated to a gathering place for artists and bohemians. Today Svicarija still provides working and living studios for local artists, residential space for international ones and it rents the hall on the ground floor and the courtyard to a variety of events.

Let the garden seduce you

The hall on the ground floor “Radetzky” can host 220 guests in cinema layout and 180 guests in a classroom layout. The hall covers 240 square metres and it offers very high ceilings. The garden “Impressia” can host 700 guests in cinema layout and 350 guests for a seating buffet.

Our experience with the venue

We hosted a private dinner for guests of Autumn Private MICE forum, an international B2B event, that we organized in a cooperation with Worldwide Events. The garden was a truly magical location for the dinner with a vintage setup. The combination of wooden barrels, white furniture, seasonal flowers, lights, surrounding nature and amazing guests really created a fairy-tale atmosphere. Everyone really loved the dinner location – the menu did it’s work, but it was the unique setting that was truly unforgettable and guests were mentioning it as one of the event highlights.
